***BEFORE YOU READ: This is a character that exists almost exclusively in the Mechanical Tyranny universe, found through TealDragonsUnite. Needless to say, there will be spoilers for the story, not to mention it will probably be confusing for anyone that is not familiar with the universe's workings.

You've been warned.

Section 1: The Basics

1a. What is your character's full name?

Felix Coltraine Shiftwell

1b. Was it their parents that named them that? If not, who?

First and middle names were from his parents, his last name was changed when he was converted to a vehicular body.

1c.Is there a special meaning behind the name?

Not especially.

Felix means 'lucky' and Coltraine means 'young horse' or 'frisky.'

2a. How old are they now?

~545
He keeps track, but prefers not to think about it. His mental age is somewhere in his 30's most of the time, though he does have a childish side that'll show itself occasionally.

2b. When were they born?

December 1, 3015

2c.Where were they born?

Unknown, England.

The world was in such chaos when he was born that no one really knows for sure.

3a. What's their race? Human, vampire, furry? Hybrid of some sort?

Originally human.
He was converted to something similar to a 2015 Jaguar XJ when he was 13.

However, he was also combined with an element of artificial intelligence during this transfer, and at this point his consciousness stands at approximately 63% AI, 37% human. Even though this is the case, he does not have a directive.

4a. Where do they stand on the social pyramid? (e.i.: Royalty, middle class, living in poverty, etc.)

Scientist -- and a very respected one at that -- for his work with artificial intelligence. In his youth, everything was taken care of for him by the government. As he grew older, he became more and more paranoid, abandoning everything and going on the run to try to push Them out of his life.

Section 2: Lifestyle

1a. Do they have a/n job/occupation? What is it?

Artificial intelligence -- he is responsible for many major innovations in this field.

1b. What motivates them to keep doing this job?

What motivated him to QUIT for such a long time was the government pushing him too far -- he has since been unable to replicate anything close to his first project, and his paranoia only grew as Their persistence did.

Any work with AI he does now is either to help an existing creation or stored as coding on his on-board computer. He loves what he does, but he hates dealing with the government, and without the government, he has no resources.

1c. What job would they rather have?

If he HAD to choose another job -- or could -- he would be a soccer player.

2a. What are their religious views?

It's all he can do to keep from developing a god complex about himself -- he sees AI as living beings (sometimes), and he's responsible for creating them.

When it comes to the origin of humans, he's more on the atheist side of things. His AI won't let him believe anything else.

3a. What have they accomplished? When?

His greatest work was Project 36, dubbed Rush (partially because he was scrambling to meet a deadline). The Corsair (now F-18) not only knows his own existence as an artificially intelligent lifeform, but is also rumored to bridge the gap between human and AI by having a 'soul' of sorts.

4a. Are they apart of any organizations?

He used to work for the government, but he was never a part of Global Dynamics (excepting when he was in school).

5a. What do they do in their free time?

Playing soccer, being a speed demon on empty stretches of highway or tinkering with something or another. Though whoever he's tinkering with typically doesn't appreciate it.

Section 3: Psychology

1a. Describe their basic personality.

Four letters:
INTJ

His personality when he was human is probably something along the line of INFJ or INFP. Maybe E.

2a. What part of their personality really stands out? If any part?

His personality is a combination of the artificial intelligence infused into him and his actual, human, personality. When his AI is not functioning properly, he can be rather erratic, not making the best decisions.

Morals do not exist to him when it comes to life and death. He has brought projects back from the dead before.

3a. How do they view life? Are they an optimist? Pessimist? Realist? Idealist?

Due to paranoia, he can be a pessimist about situations -- even before he ends up on the government's radar of potential risks, he believes that They're out to get him. He very rarely takes unnecessary risks (in his eyes, anyway).

4a. When it comes to making a tough decision, do they rely on thought or feeling? Faith or fact?

Under normal circumstances, thought and fact.
When he was still human (even if he was young), he relied more on feeling and faith.

5a. Do they have a sense of humor?

Not really -- emotions are a hard thing for him to come by nowadays.

6a. What motivates them to keep moving?

The quest for more knowledge, his work and his projects. The ones that haven't been destroyed, anyway.

7a. What do they desire from life?

More than anything, he wishes to be human again.

8a. What are they afraid of?

Getting in trouble -- though it's more of a wariness when he thinks about it. As stated before, his emotions are weak.

9a. Are they superstitious about anything?

Nope.

10a. What secrets do they keep, if any?

The extent of AI that is infused in him -- he maintains that he is more human than AI, when the opposite is the truth.

10b. How well are these secrets kept?

Only Neko (a telepathic dragon), knows his secrets (and possibly Streak, if he told him).

Section 3: Mental Abilities

1a. What can/cannot they do mentally? (e.i. IQ, certain school subjects, mental/emotional health)

He breaks the scales when it comes to IQ -- a combination of his innate intelligence and his AI make it impossible to know his true capability.

As for emotional health? He's extremely paranoid, which causes him to be rather irrational and over-the-top at times. This has harmed him to the point where he's uncomfortable sleeping in the same place for more than a night or two.

1b. What are they strongest at?

AI and the coding that goes into engineering them.

1c. What are they weakest at?

Being human/understanding morals.

2a. What do they like to do?

Play soccer
Tinker with coding

3a. What do they hate to do?

Teach

4a. Were they educated?

Yes. He learned the basics (reading, writing, arithmetic) from his parents, and specialized in artificial intelligence once he turned 13.

4b. If so, did they enjoy it?

For the most part -- it mostly consisted of personal instruction by various mentors. There were a few he liked, and a few he hated.

4c. For how long?

At least 5 years. It began immediately after he was converted and ended when he was in his late teens or early 20's. Rush was activated as the first project he completed on his own.

Section 4: History

1a. Did they have a good childhood? A bad one?

He was converted from a human to a vehicle and forced into the field of artificial intelligence. Even though the government took him under its wing as a protege of sorts, he doesn't think very fondly of them for it.

1b. What do they remember the most about it?

He remembers everything equally -- his memories store much like computer files do, especially those made after he was converted.

2a. What were/are their teen years like?

He was put though individualized schooling to learn how to develop and build artificially intelligent lifeforms. It varied based on his current mentor, but he was normally not allowed much free time otherwise.

3a. What have they had to struggle to accomplish?

Rush.

4a. What do they regret the most, if anything?

Working for the government.

When he had mostly finished the schooling They wanted him to go through, he was a scientist at a conversion clinic for a time, often editing the memories of those he converted or wiping their minds completely -- a lot of the AI he engineered, including Rush, went towards helping these people adjust to their new lives while at the same time pacifying them from rebelling.

5a. How did they end up on their current path? Was it their choice?

The government saw him as a potential rebel, so they infused his soul with artificial intelligence and pushed him into a government position to keep him from being one. No, it was not his choice to be the way he is.

6a. Did anything serious happen that changed them forever?

He was converted to a vehicle at age 13, his soul combined with artificial intelligence to boost his own intelligence and make him more manageable by the government.

Section 5: Family

1a. Who are their parents?

Nathan and Juniper Pines

1b. What are their parents' races?

Human

1c. Are they still alive?

Unknown

2a. Do/did they have any siblings? How many?

He has three siblings -- Jasper, Ellie and Holley (his twin sister).

2b. Are they still alive?

Unknown

3a. Where did the family originate?

The Pines family goes back a long time -- earliest known generation goes back to the parents of Stanford and Stanley Pines, who lived in America.

3b. How has it changed from the last generation to the current?

All four of the children were infused with AI when they were converted. The kids are engineered geniuses, while their parents were closer to average.

Section 6: Relationships

1a. What do other people think of them?

He carries a rather odd air about him... it tends to creep people out in a lot of cases. Some people see him as a miracle-worker, but most see him as a mad scientist with a complete disregard to ethics (which is true, for the most part).

2a. What is their sexual orientation?

He's straight, but no longer cares about romance. It'd take someone VERY special to actually get him paying attention to anything other than his work, because half the time he doesn't even see himself as truly human.

3a. Are they involved with anyone romantically? Who?

Nope.

3b. What do they like/love about this person? What do they dislike/hate?

Nope.

4a. Do they have a best friend? Who?

Nope.

4b. Why are they best friends?

Nope.

4b. Any other friends?

The closest thing he has to a friend at the moment is Streak, and even then it's not the most sturdy of friendships. He's almost been ice blasted before... I wonder why.

5a. Do they hate anyone? Does anyone hate them? Who?

He's not on the best terms with any of his creations -- particularly Rush -- or most other mechanics or engineers he's had to work with.

Section 7: Extra

1a. Is there anything else important that you have to share about this character?

He is the glasses symbol in the Cipher Circle.

His known creations are Rush, David and Firefly.

When it comes to his inventions, he tends to stick to warplanes.

He came from England, but he displays little to no evidence of this -- he was forcibly relocated to America after he was converted.
