Broken

This is a scene from Conflict, the arc of Mechanical Tyranny currently being uploaded on TealDragonsUnite.

Without giving away too many spoilers... Tera got in a fight. A really, really bad fight that she obviously ended up losing. Since she was living in Propwash at the time, Dottie managed to fix her problem hydraulic line (which is what caused her to lose in the first place)... but she's a completely unique plane. Problem being that her uniqueness is only understood by one forklift, Tony, who resides on Luke Air Force Base. Without another choice, she had to be brought back... but that doesn't mean she's going to be complacent about it.

She left the base because of the members, and especially Tony, pushing her to join the military -- her structure allows for it, given some modifications... in all actuality, she's capable of being a stealth jet. She's just been in so many accidents off-base that a lot of her has been replaced with parts from other models. But this time, her glass is broken and she has developed a multitude of mental (read: programming) issues, which are things that Dottie can't fix. Not to mention she completely blew her engine in a show of strength. _{And she has a really intense fear of mechanics... oops.}

Icarus was a friend of Tera's father... and also happens to be the head of the base. While he knows what's in store for her, at this point he's just trying to keep Tera from fighting to the point of collapse. With a war on the horizon, the government needs soldiers.

I could go on for hours... but it's probably better if you just read the story. This is just the gist of it.
